Strength & Movement Training
I work with clients who have a variety of issues to help them improve their movement quality, posture, stability, and strength. Commonly the clients I work with have a combination of chronic pain, a history of repetitive injury, Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and/or are regaining strength and movement after an injury.
Throughout my work, I have found that a combination of mobility, strength, and awareness is effective to gain or regain strength and resume or increase activities. The process starts by building a solid foundation of movement quality, learning to feel, stabilize, and control movement patterns. I believe in starting small, exploring where an individual needs to build stability, strength, and/or mobility. From there I will build a program that is tailored to the persons needs. Often the program will be altered along the way to accommodate changes that arise.
I believe that the skills of listening and accepting what our bodies are telling us allows an individual to build from where they are at. Only when we accept where we are can we truly see the path forward.
Personal training: Improve overall strength and movement patterns while receiving individualized programming and instruction.
Remote programs: Follow along with movement video instruction with regular check ins for accountability and questions.
